WBBL 2026: Unbeaten Sydney Thunder and Perth Scorchers set for a big clash.

Sydney Thunder Women (ST-W) are set to take on Perth Scorchers Women (PS-W) in the 11th match of the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) 2026 at Drummoyne Oval in Sydney on Thursday, November 5. Both teams have enjoyed an impressive start to the tournament, winning their opening two matches and will look to continue their winning momentum. Phoebe Litchfield-led Sydney Thunder defeated Melbourne Renegades by six wickets before registering another six-wicket victory against Brisbane Heat. Meanwhile, Beth Mooney's Perth Scorchers started their campaign with a dominant nine-wicket win over Melbourne Renegades and followed it up with a 15-run victory in their second outing.
With both sides carrying two consecutive wins, the upcoming contest could be closely fought. Heather Knight has been in excellent form for Sydney Thunder, scoring 83 runs in two matches at a strike rate of 163.74. Her unbeaten 54 off 29 balls in the previous game makes her an important batter to watch. Ashleigh Gardner has also made an impact with the ball, picking up five wickets at an average of 9.60 and an economy rate of 6.85. Both teams will look to build on their strong starts and maintain their unbeaten records.
Sydney Pitch Report

The chasing team may have an advantage, while the powerplay overs will be crucial for both sides. Bowlers will need to maintain tight lines and lengths to restrict the opposition's scoring.
