Cricket West Indies announce 2026-27 International contracts

Cricket West Indies (CWI) has unveiled their international player contracts for the 2026-27 season, with Matthew Forde, Amir Jangoo and Mandy Mangru earning their maiden West Indies international contracts. The new contracts will come into effect on October 1, 2026, and will run until September 30, 2027. The massive inclusion in the men's senior contract list is that of opening batter John Campbell, who has been included in the list for the first time since 2019.
Campbell's return comes in the wake of a whirlwind 2025-26 campaign, during which he performed promisingly in both Test and ODI cricket. He also registered his maiden Test century against India, scoring 115 in Delhi in October last year. West Indies have also awarded development contracts to Jewel Andrew, Ackeem Auguste and Vitel Lawes.
“Development contracts bring players into the international set-up, where we can support them most closely and guide their progress,” CWI Director of Cricket Miles Bascombe said.
“They are in contention for selection now. This gives them the best environment to keep growing while they compete for places,” he added.
Meanwhile, Keacy Carty, Roston Chase, Justin Greaves and Jomel Warrican are entering the final year of their existing two-year contracts. But all-rounder Romario Shepherd and batters Brandon King and Alick Athanaze have been dropped from the list. In the women's contract, Mandy Mangru has earned her first international contract.
