England’s Josh Tongue ruled out of Australia ODIs

England pacer Josh Tongue has been ruled out of the three-match ODI series against Australia following an injury setback. He will return home to undergo further assessment for the injury, the England and Wales Cricket Board stated.
The series is scheduled to begin on Friday, November 13, in Perth. At this stage, there is no confirmed timeline for his return to competitive cricket for Tongue, who has taken 46 wickets in 17 matches across all formats this year.
Tongue's absence is a big blow to England's preparations, given a demanding schedule in Australia. After the ODIs, they will also face Australia in a five-match T20I series.
1st ODI - November 13 - Perth
2nd ODI - November 15 - Adelaide
3rd ODI - November 18 - Hobart
