Sydney Sixers Women (SS) will take on Sydney Thunder Women (ST) in Match 15 of the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) 2026 at North Sydney Oval, Sydney, on Sunday, November 8. Led by Ashleigh Gardner, Sydney Sixers have made an impressive start to the tournament, winning all three of their matches and currently sitting at the top of the points table. They registered a thrilling one-run victory over Melbourne Stars in their previous outing.

Sydney Thunder, captained by Phoebe Litchfield, have won two of their three matches. However, they head into this contest after suffering a 17-run defeat against Perth Scorchers. Gardner will be a key player for the Sixers. She has scored 160 runs in three matches at an average of 53.33 and a strike rate of 183.90, including a brilliant century against Hobart Hurricanes. She has also picked up six wickets, making her one of the most important players in the competition.

Pitch Report:

The surface at North Sydney Oval is expected to offer a balanced contest between bat and ball. Batters can score freely once settled, while bowlers will also have opportunities to make an impact. The captain winning the toss may prefer to bat first and put a competitive total on the board. A strong start from the top-order batters will be crucial.

Sydney Thunder Won: 8
