New All-rounder Jimmy Neesham will not be participating in the New Zealand's upcoming T20I series against England. Neesham's absence has come as a blow to New Zealand ahead of the series. Neesham was due to link up with New Zealand squad after the conclusion of England's domestic competition (The Hundred) where he had his campaign with Oval Invincibles. Instead, Neesham will be heading back home to be with his wife for the birth of their first child.

“The birth of a child is a special time and we are a family environment. We are glad to be able to support Jimmy in heading home," Gary Stead said as quoted by the ICC.

New Zealand have brought in Cole McConchie as the potential replacement for Neesham. New Zealand and England will be locking horns in a four-match T20I series from 30th August which is going to be a big thriller.
