BAN vs NZ 1st day 2 lunch: New Zealand two down with Bangladesh keeping upper hand

Bangladesh presented a glittering show with the bat to score more than 300 in the ongoing first test match against New Zealand. Bangladesh on the first day on Tuesday went past 300 to bring themselves into a commanding position. Bangladesh received a good score from Mahmudul Hasan Joy who belted out 86 runs followed by Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mominul Haque scoring 37 each. On day 2, on Wednesday, New Zealand bowled out Bangladesh for 310 with Glenn Phillips returning with four wickets. Kyle Jamieson and Ajaz Patel took two wickets each. Starting their first innings, New Zealand lost their two batters Tom Latham and Devon Conway early but Kane Williamson and Henry Nicholls brought back the situation under control. Mehidy Hasan and Taijul Islam took one wicket each. At lunch, New Zealand were 78/2.
