Uganda created history after qualifying for the T20I World Cup 2024. Uganda outplayed Rwanda in their final of the African region qualifier to march into the qualification for the high-profile T20I event that will be played next year in June in West Indies and United States of America. Uganda’s qualification resulted in the ouster of Zimbabwe. This will be Uganda’s first-ever outing in any ICC World Cup event. Zimbabwe had to face losses against Namibia and Uganda following which they missed out on their chances of making it to the T20I World Cup qualification. Earlier, Namibia became the first team to qualify for the T20I World Cup 2024.
