Mathews gets back into Sri Lanka’s T20I squad

Sri Lanka have named their T20I squad for the three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe that will get underway after the culmination of the ongoing ODI series against the same opponents. Wanindu Hasaranga will be leading the team as it will be the first series for Hasaranga as captain.
The biggest return for Sri Lanka has come in the form of all-rounder Angelo Mathews who is returning to the shorter format of the game for the first time in nearly three years. The notable inclusions in the squad are of Kusal Perera, Dhananjaya de Silva. The series will be a big assignment for Sri Lanka in their preparations for the upcoming T20I World Cup. The first T20I will be played on Sunday (January 14).
