Sylhet Strikers hope to end losing streak as they face Durdanto Dhaka

For the 17th match of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League, Sylhet Strikers are gearing up to take on Durdanto Dhaka on Friday at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet. It’s been a frustrating campaign for Strikers so far with no end coming to their losing streak in the tournament.
They have lost five games on the bounce that has kept them placed at the bottom in the points table. Strikers are grasping for a win to open their winning account in the tournament. They played their last match against Fortune Barishal where they suffered 49-run defeat. They have no points along with the negative NRR of -1.542. Their captain Mashrafe Mortaza has taken a break from BPL to focus on his political career. In his absence, Mohammad Mithun will be captaining the side.
Durdanto Dhaka, on the other hand, are slightly different from Sylhet Strikers after registering one victory from their last four games. They are placed second from the bottom in the points table with two points and the negative NRR of -1.634. Durdanto Dhaka are also coming off a defeat from their last game as they too have a huge task to register their victory. Both teams are in a dire need for a win to amplify their chances for success.
Sylhet Strikers Probable XI: Najmul Hossain Shanto, Shamsur Rahman, Zakir Hasan (wk), Ryan Burl, Ariful Haque, Samit Patel, Benny Howell, Nayeem Hasan, Mohammad Mithun (c), Richard Ngarava, Rejaur Rahman Raja
