Multan Sultans somehow managed to put up a challenging total for Islamabad United in the final of the Pakistan Super League on Monday at National Stadium in Karachi.

Islamabad’s bowlers restricted Multans Sulatns for a below par total with tireless Imad Wasim coming out with a remarkable spell to collect five crucial wickets. Skipper Shadab Khan took three wickets to limit struggling Sultans for a notional total.

Multan Sultans’ captain Mohammad Rizwan won the toss and decided to bat hoping to set a formidable total. Multan Sultans couldn’t produce the flow of runs with Imad Wasim chipping in with pivotal wickets at regular intervals, and putting pressure on Sultans. Usman Khan remained the top-scorer for Sultans, notching up 57 runs. Down the order, Iftikhar Ahmed scored 32 off 20 unbeaten to lead the side to 159/9 in (20).
