India's victory in the first ODI has given them a 1-0 lead in the three-match series as they look forward to securing the series victory. Roles of Deepti Sharma and Pooja Vastrakar also proved to be pivotal, scoring 37 and 31* respectively.

On the other hand, South Africa Women, led by Laura Wolvaardt, will be hoping to bounce back strongly in the second ODI to level the series.
