India out to claim the series as South Africa hope to bounce back

In the second ODI match of their ongoing three-match series, India Women and South Africa Women will be facing each other on Wednesday at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. India’s convincing and huge victory over South Africa by 143 runs in the opening match will make this contest even more exciting. 

Amazing batter Smriti Mandhana had struck a stunning knock of 117 In the first game to power India to a swashbuckling total of 265/8 in 50 overs after India decided to bat. India's victory in the first ODI has given them a 1-0 lead in the three-match series as they look forward to securing the series victory. Roles of Deepti Sharma and Pooja Vastrakar also proved to be pivotal, scoring 37 and 31* respectively. 

On the other hand, South Africa Women, led by Laura Wolvaardt, will be hoping to bounce back strongly in the second ODI to level the series. Their batting order struggled miserably in the first game, faltering to put up runs. Replying to India’s total, South Africa Women finished on 122 in 37.4 overs. 

Going into this game, South Africa will need to adopt a disciplined approach to turn the tables. Players such as Laura Wolvaardt, Tazmin Brits and Sune Luus will be crucial in their quest to level the series and regain momentum.
