Former Australian cricketer Justin Langer has been appointed as the new head coach of London Spirit in The Hundred. Langer will be taking over from Trevor Bayliss, who left the role last month after a three-year stint.

Langer is vastly experienced, having coached Australia from 2018 to 2022. He has played 105 Tests for Australia, scoring more than 7,500 runs. He also serves as Lucknow Super Giants' head coach in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He has also coached Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League (BBL).

"I'm thrilled to be appointed to this role with London Spirit, and I'm excited to experience The Hundred," Langer said. "I'm looking forward to being a part of the tournament later this year, and working with such a talented group of players and coaches."

The schedule for the 2025 edition of The Hundred hasn't yet been announced but it is expected to be played in July-August.
