AUS-W vs ENG-W 2nd T20I: With Ashes title out of reach, England eye fightback

Australia have already retained the Ashes after clinching a 57-run victory in the first T20I match of the ongoing three-match series against England. Australia whitewashed the preceding three-match ODI series 3-0 and overcame England in the first T20I. England would now hope to challenge Australia in order to draw the series and salvage pride.

Both teams will now face each other in the second T20I on Thursday at Manuka Oval, Canberra. England had the opportunity to win back ashes but they failed to conquer Australia in the first game. The only thing England can do now is to avoid the complete whitewash. In the first game, England's batting order crumbled in their chase of 198, managing only 141 runs in 16 overs.

Sophia Dunkley was the highest-scorer for the team, hitting 59 off 30 deliveries, involving six boundaries and four sixes. Heading into the second T20I, England would aim to fightback Australia in order to secure their first victory of the ongoing season. Australia, on the other, would love to carry forward the momentum.
