Joburg Super Kings will be clashing with table-toppers Paarl Royals on Thursday at The Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg in the 26th match of the ongoing SA20 tournament. Paarl Royals have already qualified for the playoffs, becoming the first team to do so. They secured a remarkable 11-run win over Pretoria Capitals to advance into the playoffs. Even, in their last match Paarl Royals secured a six-wicket victory against Durban Super Giants. Joburg Super Kings, on the other hand, are coming off a defeat in their last game against Pretoria Capitals. This is a must-win contest for Joburg Super Kings to win in order to qualify for the playoffs. Their defeat against Pretoria Capitals has left them on the fourth position in the points table with 15 points and a negative NRR of -0.315.

During the game, Kings also suffered an injury scare after in-form batter Devon Conway walked off the filed after being hit on the arm.
