Following his back-breaking bowling performance in the ongoing T20I series against England, Indian spinner Varun Chakaravarathy has jumped 25 places to reach the fifth position in the ICC rankings for T20I bowlers. He claimed a five-wicket haul in the third T20I on Tuesday in Rajkot.

Arshdeep Singh has kept his ninth rank while Ravi Bishnoi went down from fifth to 10th place. Axar Patel ascended five spots to reach No. 11. England’s experienced spinner Adil Rashid has reclaimed the top spot following his phenomenally beautiful performances in the ongoing T20I series against India.

Rashid, who helped the side stay alive in the series, has been really consistent. In the third match, he returned with the figures of 1-15 from four overs. Rashid had first reached the No. 1 spot at the end of 2023 before being dethroned by West Indies’s spinner Akeal Hosein in December 2024. Now, he is back on top.
