IND vs ENG 3rd ODI: England hope to salvage pride as India aim experimentation

India and England will once again face off in the third and final ODI, to be held on Wednesday at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. With India already having clinched the series with dominant victories in the first two matches, this match will present the side an opportunity for experimentation ahead of the Champions Trophy. Meanwhile, the series has already highlighted India's commanding performance and supremacy in ODIs.
The first ODI saw India overpower England with a stunning chase, while in the second match, they chased a competitive total of 304 with ease on the back of skipper Rohit Sharma’s back-breaking 119-run knock. The victories in the first two games have strengthened India’s position ahead of the Champions Trophy.
Their key players Rohit Sharma, Shreyas Iyer and Shubman Gill have hit the form at the right time as Champions Trophy is round the corner. There is high expectation that skipper Rohit Sharma and coach Gautam Gambhir might look to rotate players and give them exposure to different match situations.
On the other hand, England have struggled to get going in the series, with their batting order falling short on multiple occasions. Despite having a strong squad, they have been unable to match India’s all-round performance. However, England will certainly look to salvage some pride in the final ODI and avoid a whitewash in the series.
