UP Warriorz aim to secure first win as Delhi eye huge return

In the sixth match of the ongoing Women’s Premier League (WPL), UP Warriorz will be facing Delhi Capitals Women on Wednesday at Kotambi Stadium, Vadodara. Having played two games in the tournament so far, Delhi Capitals are having one victory and one defeat. They suffered defeat in their last game, which was against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
However, they kicked off their campaign with a victory, defeating Mumbai Indians by 2 wickets. DC Women, under the leadership of Meg Lanning would eye return to winning ways. Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues and Annabel Sutherland will be crucial for the side.
UP Warriorz Women, on the other hand, have only played one game, which was against Gujarat Giants Women. They lost the game by six wickets, starting off their campaign on a dull note. Heading into their second match, UP Women will look forward to securing their first victory in the tournament. For UP Women, focus will be on Uma Chetry, Deepti Sharma and Kiran Navgire.
