Avesh Khan set to join LSG squad: Reports

In a massive boost for Lucknow Super Giants ahead of their next match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has cleared bowler Avesh Khan to join the squad. According to ESPNcricinfo, Avesh, who had been managing a knee problem, was given clearance by BCCI medical staff to join the LSG squad.
Avesh, who hasn’t been in action since January, last played in a T20I in South Africa in November last year. Recently, he didn’t even play in Madhya Pradesh’s final league match of the Ranji Trophy.
LSG are already sweating in the fitness of their prominent pacers Mayank Yadav and Akash Deep, both of whom are yet to regain full fitness. Speedster Mayank Yadav is nursing a lumbar stress injury and recently he picked up a toe injury. Meanwhile, Akash Deep is recovering from a back injury suffered during India’s tour of Australia. Lucknow Super Giants will face Sunrisers Hyderabad on Thursday at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. They are coming off a one-wicket defeat against Delhi Capitals in their last match.
