KL Rahul, Abishek Porel help DC rout LSG

Delhi Capitals cruised to a dominant eight-wicket victory over Lucknow Super Giants on Tuesday at Ekana Cricket Stadium, with KL Rahul and Abishek Porel playing a major role. The masterful innings from Abhishek Porel and KL Rahul set the tone for the Capitals, guiding the side to a commanding win in just 17.5 overs.
Chasing a target of 160, Porel was in dynamic form, crafting a fluent 51 off 36 balls that laid the foundation for a successful pursuit. Meanwhile, after Porel’s wicket, KL Rahul led the charge, chipping in with a valuable 57*, anchoring the innings and ensuring there were no hiccups along the way. He was well supported by skipper Axar Patel, who added a crucial 34* runs as DC finished at 161/2, wrapping up the chase with ease.
Earlier, after being asked to bat, LSG managed to post 159/6 in 20 overs. Their innings was led by their openers, Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram, who showed their class with crucial contributions at the top. Both slammed 45 and 52, respectively, to take the side to a valuable total. However, the rest of the LSG’s batting lineup failed to build on the strong start, as DC’s bowlers tightened the screws, restricting LSG to a manageable total.
