Punjab Kings successfully clinched a commanding four-wicket win over Chennai Super Kings on Wednesday at Chepauk, thanks to explosive half-centuries from Shreyas Iyer and Prabhsimran Singh. Chasing a formidable target of 191, Punjab’s batting unit fired on all cylinders to seal the victory with two balls to spare.

Their chase got off to a rollicking start as Prabhsimran Singh opening the innings alongside Priyansh Arya, launched into CSK bowlers right away. Singh smashed a quickfire 54, while Arya chipped in with a solid 23 before falling. The solid start kept Punjab in full control of the proceedings.

Meanwhile, Punjab’s skipper, Shreyas Iyer, played a masterclass innings. The in-form Iyer blasted 72 off 41 balls, anchoring the chase with utmost precision. After Iyer’s dismissal, Josh Inglis and Marco Jansen steered the side home, remaining unbeaten on 6 and 4, respectively.

Earlier, CSK posted a competitive total of 190, largely riding on a sensational knock from Sam Curran. The left-hander blazed his way to 88 off just 47 balls.
