Punjab Kings, on Monday in Jaipur, stamped their authority in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 with a dominant seven-wicket victory over Mumbai Indians, securing a top-two finish and a spot in the qualifier 1. PBKS, one of the most consistent sides this season, delivered a clinical all-round performance in a high-stakes clash.

Chasing a competitive target of 185, Punjab were propelled by explosive half-centuries from Priyansh Arya and Josh Inglis. The duo ravaged MI’s bowling attack with composed batting. Arya finished on 62 and Inglis on 73 as Punjab cruised to 187/3 in just 18.3 overs.

Earlier, Mumbai Indians, after being put in to bat, posted a modest 184/7 in 20 overs. Suryakumar Yadav was the standout performer with the bat, smashing 57 runs in a brisk innings that gave MI some momentum. Openers Ryan Rickelton (27) and Rohit Sharma (24) got off to decent starts but failed to convert them into big scores. The middle order struggled to accelerate under disciplined bowling from Punjab, who kept the run flow in check and got timely wickets.
