New Zealand's Finn Allen ruled out of tri-series in Zimbabwe
New Zealand have been dealt a crushing blow ahead of the T20I tri-series in Zimbabwe after their batter Finn Allen was ruled out of the series due to an injury. The star batter will miss the series following a foot injury sustained while representing San Francisco Unicorns at the MLC.
“Allen’s recovery timeline will be determined once he has returned to New Zealand and received further specialist consultations,” NZC said in a statement.
New Zealand will name the replacement in due course. Meanwhile, the series will begin on July 14 with the showdown between Zimbabwe and South Africa. New Zealand will kick off their campaign on July 16 by facing South Africa.
