Afghanistan lock in squad for UAE T20I tri-series

Afghanistan have finalised their squad for the UAE T20I tri-series, scheduled to begin on August 29 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah. Rashid Khan will lead a full-strength squad boasting the likes of Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Ibrahim Zadran, Azmatullah Omarzai, Mohammad Nabi and Gulbadin Naib.
They have largely named the same squad for both tournaments (Tri-series and Asia Cup), but from the Tri-series squad Naveen-ul-Haq is missing. In place of him, Abdollah Ahmadzai has been brought into the squad. The tri-series, which also features the UAE and Pakistan, will see Afghanistan and Pakistan kick off the proceedings on August 29 in Sharjah. All three teams will play each other twice in round-robin format before the top two meet in the final on September 7.
