Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) reaffirmed their status as Caribbean Premier League (CPL) royalty by clinching their fifth CPL title, defeating Guyana Amazon Warriors by three wickets in a low-scoring final. They ended a five-year wait, securing the historic fifth CPL title. Chasing a modest target of 131 runs, TKR reached the total in 18 overs, putting out 133/7.

Earlier, winning the toss and opting to bat first, Guyana Amazon Warriors were aiming to set a competitive total. However, their innings never found rhythm. Despite a solid start, the middle order failed to build on the platform, collapsing under tight bowling from the Knight Riders.

Only Iftikhar Ahmed (30) and Ben McDermott (28) showed any real resistance, trying to stitch together partnerships to stabilise the innings. However, a series of soft dismissals saw the Warriors restricted to 130/8 in 20 overs.

While the target seemed straightforward, the pressure of a final and a determined Guyana bowling attack made the chase anything but easy. Trinbago, despite getting a fine start from Colin Munro and Alex Hales scoring 23 and 26, respectively, lost wickets at regular intervals, keeping the match in balance. However, Akeal Hosein took on Motie, whacking a six and a four to seal victory. With this victory, Trinbago Knight Riders have now lifted the CPL trophy five times, cementing their position as the most successful team in the tournament's history.
