MI Emirates have made a statement ahead of the upcoming ILT20 season by naming power hitters Nicholas Pooran and Kieron Pollard as their wildcard signings. Pollard, who is a T20 veteran, remains one of the format’s most successful players.

Pooran, on the other hand, brings explosive batting and finishing ability. Pooran has already retired from international cricket but remains a much-in-demand asset in franchise cricket. Together, Pollard and Pooran enjoyed shared success earlier this year, winning the CPL and MLC.

Notably, Pooran is also part of the MI Cape Town squad in the SA20 league, which overlaps with the ILT20 schedule. The fourth season of the ILT20 will begin on December 2 and conclude on January 4. MI Emirates will kickstart their ILT20 campaign against Gulf Giants on December 4.
