The 18th match of the ongoing Women's Big Bash League will witness the showdown between Brisbane Heat Women and Sydney Thunder Women, scheduled to be played on Friday at Allan Border Field. Struggling to claim their first win of the season, Heat have endured a winless start, having lost three games in a row. Meanwhile, ahead of the clash, they have been dealt a double blow, with Grace Harris and Jemimah Rodrigues set to miss the game.

Harris has been ruled out due to calf soreness, while Jemimah Rodrigues has flown to India following pre-arranged commitments. Going into the match against Thunder, Heat will be hoping to make a swift comeback in order to remain alive in the tournament.
