Bangladesh and Ireland are set to face off in the first T20I of their three-match series on Thursday in Chattogram. With both sides carrying balanced squads, the opening game is expected to be incredibly competitive, setting the tone for the rest of the series. The hosts head into the T20Is with confidence after recently sweeping the Test series 2–0.

They have selected a well-rounded T20 squad featuring a whole host of reliable performers. Litton Das will be leading the side as Bangladesh look to have a tremendous start. Ireland, on the other hand, arrive with a squad that has seen ups and downs over recent years.

The squad, which will be led by Paul Stirling, have the ability to challenge Bangladesh. They will bank on their fearless batting and improving pace attack. Players like Lorcan Tucker and Harry Tector will be expected to provide the firepower at the top of the order.
