Jess Jonassen pulls out of WPL 2026 auction

In a big development ahead of the Women's Premier League auction 2026, Australian all-rounder Jess Jonassen has pulled out of the auction due to an injury. Her departure from the auction was communicated to the WPL franchises at the pre-auction briefing on Wednesday (November 26).

Having played three seasons for Delhi Capitals Women, Jess Jonassen has established herself as a big player in WPL. Overall, she has played a total of 24 matches for the franchise across three seasons, amassing 295 runs and bagging 33 wickets.

Back in 2023, she was bought by Delhi Capitals at her base price of Rs. 50 lakh. In her decorated WPL career, she has also won five Player-of-the-Match awards.
