Mohit Sharma retires from all forms of cricket

Veteran Indian pacer Mohit Sharma has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket, bringing down the curtain on a storied career that spanned more than a decade. Mohit’s cricketing journey began in the domestic circuit, representing Haryana. He made his debut for India in 2013. 

In his international career, he featured in 26 ODIs and 8 T20Is, claiming 31 wickets in ODIs and 6 in T20Is. He was part of India’s squad in the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup, where he played a key role with the ball, helping India reach the semi-finals. 

In his IPL career, Mohit represented CSK, Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans. In IPL he finished with 134 wickets from 120 matches.

"Today with a full heart, I announce my retirement from all forms of cricket," Mohit, who featured in three IPL finals without lifting the trophy, wrote on his Instagram page.

"From representing Haryana to wearing the India jersey and playing in the IPL, this journey has been nothing short of blessing. A very special Thanku to the Haryana Cricket Association for being the backbone of my career. And my deepest gratitude to Anirudh Sir, whose constant guidance and belief in me shaped my path in ways words cannot express," Mohit expressed.

In first-class cricket, Mohit featured in 44 matches, taking 127 wickets.
