England name playing XI for third Ashes Test

England have shown faith in their struggling batting line-up as they unveiled their playing XI for the third Ashes Test, a must-win encounter set to begin in Adelaide on December 17. England, who are 0-2 down, have made just one change to the side.
The sole change sees fast bowler Josh Tongue included in the XI for his first appearance of the series. Tongue replaces Gus Atkinson, who has been left out. Meanwhile, despite coming under scrutiny for his costly spell in the Brisbane Test, Brydon Carse has retained his place. The Adelaide Test is incredibly crucial for England to win to make their comeback in the series.
England playing XI: Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Harry Brook, Ben Stokes (c), Jamie Smith (wk), Will Jacks, Brydon Carse, Jofra Archer, Josh Tongue
