Varun Chakravarthy reaches new heights at top of ICC Men’s T20I Bowler Rankings

India’s mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy has further strengthened his position at the top of the ICC Men’s T20I Bowler Rankings, reaching a new career-high rating after another boisterous performance in the ongoing home series against South Africa. Chakravarthy has climbed to an impressive 818 rating points, extending his lead at the top of the rankings following his third consecutive two-wicket haul in the five-match T20I series.

He has been a consistent performer, collecting six wickets across the first three matches. In the batting rankings, Tilak Varma has climbed two places to fourth overall after a series of impactful innings against South Africa. At the very top, Abhishek Sharma continues to hold a healthy lead, consolidating his position as the world’s leading T20I batter.

South Africa, who are trailing in the series, have also seen some positive movement in the rankings. Captain Aiden Markram has jumped eight places to 29th, while veteran opener Quinton de Kock has made a notable rise of 14 spots to 43rd following powerful performances recently.
