Delhi will enter the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy with Rishabh Pant at the helm, as the wicketkeeper-batter has been named captain of the squad for the domestic one-day tournament starting on December 24. The Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) announced a 20-member squad for the team’s first two matches, which also features senior India batter Virat Kohli.

Kohli’s inclusion strengthens the batting lineup, though his availability beyond the opening games remains uncertain due to India’s upcoming international commitments. Notably, Kohli was in blistering form in the ODI series against South Africa, firing centuries in the first two games.

According to the DDCA statement, experienced fast bowlers Ishant Sharma and Navdeep Saini have confirmed their availability for the tournament. Young pacer Harshit Rana, meanwhile, will join the squad once he is free from national duty.

Delhi Squad: Rishabh Pant, Virat Kohli, Ishant Sharma, Navdeep Saini, Ayush Badoni, Arpit Rana, Yash Dhull, Sarthak Ranjan, Priyansh Arya, Tejasvi Dahiya, Nitish Rana, Hrithik Shokeen, Harsh Tyagi, Simarjeet Singh, Prince Yadav, Divij Mehra, Ayush Doseja, Vaibhav Kandpal, Rohan Rana, Anuj Rawat (stand-by).
