Punjab confirm Vijay Hazare Trophy squad, Gill, Abhishek included

Punjab have finalised a strong 18-member squad for the Vijay Hazare Trophy, with a slew of big names such as stars Shubman Gill, Abhishek Sharma and Arshdeep Singh featuring in the group. Punjab have also included Prabhsimran Singh, Naman Dhir, Anmolpreet Singh and Ramandeep Singh to strengthen their batting arsenal. 

Sanvir Singh and Harpreet Brar will be performing all-round duties. While Gurnoor Brar and Krish Bhagat will spearhead the pace attack. Punjab will begin their campaign against Maharashtra on December 24.

Meanwhile, things remain uncertain surrounding the availability of Shubman Gill, Abhishek Sharma and Arshdeep Singh, with India scheduled to play three ODIs against New Zealand starting January 11. Shubman Gill, who was recently left out of India's squad for the T20I World Cup 2026, will lead the side in ODIs.
