Virat Kohli makes stunning comeback to domestic cricket, blazes a gritty century

Indian batting maestro Virat Kohli once again demonstrated his enduring class, making a resounding return to domestic cricket with a classy century for Delhi in the Vijay Hazare Trophy match against Andhra on Wednesday. Adopting a measured approach, the legendary batter notched up his century off 83 balls. During the process, Kohli also achieved a monumental milestone, completing 16,000 runs in List A cricket. Kohli, claimed the landmark achievement in his 330th innings in the tournament, while the great Tendulkar had accomplished this milestone in 391 innings. Kohli is only the second Indian player, after legendary batter Sachin Tendulkar, to achieve 16,000 runs in List A cricket.
Notably, heading into this clash, Kohli was in sublime form. He struck back-to-back centuries in the recently concluded three-match ODI series against South Africa. And he capped off the series with an unbeaten 65 in the final game.
Kohli's century was special, as it came in his first List A domestic appearance in a long time. The latest knock will also give Kohli confidence as he remains at the peak of his powers, proving his batting strength.
