Australia’s Travis Head has revealed that he reached out to England batter Ben Duckett with a message of support after a video of the England opener circulated widely on social media. A video, shared online ahead of the Melbourne Test, appeared to show Duckett intoxicated and unsure of his surroundings during England’s mid-series break in Noosa. Following the backlash on Duckett, Head chose a different tone, personally contacting Duckett. In a light-hearted comment, Head also joked that he was “jealous” of the brief Noosa getaway.

"I am jealous. Everyone else has made a lot more out of it than what it should have been. We've done the same thing on past tours, so I didn't really have an issue with it. What you do in your personal time is up to you. I know we live a high-profile life, and some people are more high-profile than others and get themselves in situations, but at the end of the day, it's a bit stiff," Head said while talking to reporters.

Travis Head revealed that he personally reached out to Duckett to enquire about him.

"I get on with Ducky well and reached out to him to see if he was going alright. Everyone is still human. What you do in your personal time is up to you. I know we live a high-profile life, and some people are more high-profile than others. At the end of the day, it is a bit stiff, but I don't think there is any real issue."

Talking about Duckett's performance in the fourth Test, he managed two runs in his first innings but scored 34 runs in England's chase of 175 as the visitors clinched a crucial four-wicket win.
