Jadeja shines in RR's dazzling win over LSG

Turning up with a disciplined all-round performance, Rajasthan Royals secured a convincing 40-run victory over Lucknow Super Giants on Wednesday in Lucknow. Chasing a modest target of 160, LSG were never in the hunt. Their innings crumbled early, slipping into trouble after losing key batters in quick succession. Ayush Badoni, Rishabh Pant, and Aiden Markram all departed without even opening their account.
Amid the collapse, Mitchell Marsh stood tall with a fighting 55. However, with little support from the other end, his knock was not enough as LSG were bowled out for 119 in 18 overs.
Earlier, Lucknow’s bowlers had done a commendable job to keep Rajasthan under control. After winning the toss and choosing to bowl, Pant’s decision turned out to be decisive. Mohammed Shami struck early, removing two batters in consecutive deliveries during the third over.
Mohsin Khan followed up with another breakthrough in the next over. Rajasthan struggled to build momentum as wickets fell at regular intervals. But Ravindra Jadeja played a composed knock, remaining unbeaten on 43 from 29 balls to help Rajasthan post a total of 159/6 in 20 overs. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shimron Hetmyer also scored 22 runs each.
