New Zealand have named their squad for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20I World Cup 2026, set to be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8, 2026. All-rounder Mitchell Santner will lead the squad, with fast bowler Jacob Duffy also booking a place in the 15-man squad. Duffy has been rewarded for an exceptional 2025 season in which he took 81 international wickets.

The squad also features experienced pacers like Lockie Ferguson, Matt Henry, and Adam Milne. In the spin department, alongside captain Santner, Ish Sodhi will partner with all-rounders Michael Bracewell, Glenn Phillips and Rachin Ravindra to strengthen the bowling unit. New Zealand batting unit boasts the likes of Finn Allen, Devon Conway, Daryl Mitchell and Mark Chapman.

Commenting on the squad, New Zealand head coach Rob Walter felt that the squad is well capable of thriving in subcontinent conditions.

“World Cups are special and there’s few better places to play one than in India, which is very much the heartbeat of the modern game," Walter said.

“As always, the balance of the squad is critical.

“We’ve got plenty of power and skill in the batting, quality bowlers who can adapt to conditions, plus five all-rounders who all bring something slightly different.

“This is an experienced group and the players are no strangers to playing in the sub-continent, which will be valuable."

New Zealand squad for T20 World Cup: Mitchell Santner (c), Finn Allen, Michael Bracewell, Mark Chapman, Devon Conway, Jacob Duffy, Lockie Ferguson, Matt Henry, Daryl Mitchell, Adam Milne, James Neesham, Glenn Phillips, Rachin Ravindra, Tim Seifert, Ish Sodhi Travelling Reserve: Kyle Jamieson
