Virat Kohli congratulates RCB after historic WPL 2026 title win

Indian star batter Virat Kohli took to social media to extend a heartfelt congratulatory message to Royal Challengers Bengaluru after RCB women’s team clinched the WPL 2026 title. Led by Smriti Mandhana, RCB delivered a memorable performance in the final, pulling off a stunning run chase to defeat Delhi Capitals and secure their second Women’s Premier League crown. Soon after the victory, Virat Kohli shared a special message on social media, praising the team’s effort.
"Champions again. Keeping the RCB flag flying high and something that each one of you can be proud of. To Smriti and the whole squad and the management team, a big congratulations for this tremendous victory. You guys deserve this undoubtedly. Enjoy the moment and embrace the love of our amazing fans," Kohli wrote.
RCB successfully chased down a massive target of 204 runs, with Smriti Mandhana leading the charge with a composed knock of 87. Notably, Royal Challengers Bengaluru have long been one of the most popular teams in franchise cricket, boasting a massive global fanbase despite years of heartbreak.
For over a decade, the Bengaluru outfit faced challenges in achieving success. However, that narrative finally changed in 2024, when the RCB women ended the title drought by clinching the WPL trophy, breaking a stubborn jinx. And in 2025, RCB men's team finally conquered the IPL, with Rajat Patidar leading from the front in a memorable title-winning campaign.
