War of words intensifies between Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Kaif

The war of words between former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir and former India batter Mohammad Kaif has intensified on social media ahead of the Men's T20 World Cup final. Throughout the tournament, Amir has been actively sharing his views on teams and players competing in the event.
His posts frequently included analysis and predictions about the Indian side, which have sparked debate. The situation escalated when Kaif questioned Amir’s intentions. According to Kaif, Amir’s constant remarks about India appeared to be an attempt to remain in the headlines. Amir did not take the remark lightly. Responding on social media, the former Pakistani pacer hit out at Kaif, saying that he does not rely on talking about India to stay in the news.
"I don't know about his cricketing career, how much he has played. I checked his stats; he played only 29 matches in the IPL. He has a strike rate of 103 (103.60). He said I was speaking about India to gain attention. Firstly, I don't need attention by speaking about India. Mr. Kaif, I have played 350 T20s, you can check my stats," Amir said on his YouTube channel.
Amir further said that his own place in international cricket came from delivering results with the ball rather than being selected primarily for his fielding skills, unlike the former Indian cricketer.
"I didn't play cricket just because of my fielding. I played after giving performances. You should be thankful to Dada (Sourav Ganguly)," he said.
“I have heard that you played cricket only because of your fielding. You are a cricketer; these sorts of statements don't suit you,” Amir said.
