South Africa's Jordan Hermann ruled out of New Zealand T20Is

South Africa's young batter Jordan Hermann has been ruled out for the remainder of the ongoing five-match T20I series against New Zealand due to a hamstring injury, according to CSA. Hermann, who was making his international debut for South Africa, picked up the injury while fielding during the opening T20I against New Zealand on Sunday at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui.
After sustaining discomfort in his right hamstring during the fielding innings, Hermann was forced to leave the field and could not return to take any further part in the game. Subsequent medical scans confirmed that he suffered a grade two tear in his right hamstring. Despite the setback, South Africa have chosen not to call up a replacement player at this stage.
The injury is particularly unfortunate for Hermann, who was hoping to make a strong impression in his first appearance at the international level. Nonetheless, South Africa began the series on a positive note. They secured a convincing seven-wicket victory in the opening match, taking a 1-0 lead in the five-game series.
