Navdeep Saini replaces Harshit Rana at KKR
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have signed fast bowler Navdeep Saini as a replacement for the injured Harshit Rana, who has been ruled out of the IPL 2026. The deal, valued at INR 75 lakh, offers Saini a much-awaited return to top-tier competitive cricket and provides KKR with an experienced pace option.
Saini carries enough experience, having represented India across all formats. He has played two Tests, eight ODIs, and 11 T20Is for India. However, his appearances for India have been limited in recent years, with his last outing coming in 2021. In the Indian Premier League (IPL), Saini has featured for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Rajasthan Royals (RR).
Across 32 IPL matches, he has taken 23 wickets. Meanwhile, KKR will begin their IPL 2026 campaign against MI at the Wankhede Stadium on March 29.
