Indian batting icon Virat Kohli is eyeing a major milestone as he gears up for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The modern great, currently having 291 sixes in the Indian Premier League, needs only nine more sixes to enter an elite club of power-hitters who have crossed the 300-sixes mark in IPL history.

This exclusive group features only two players so far — the legendary Chris Gayle and Indian stalwart Rohit Sharma. Gayle is sitting at the top of the list with a staggering 357 sixes. While Rohit Sharma follows with 302 sixes.

Players with the most sixes in the IPL:

Chris Gayle - 357

Rohit Sharma - 302

Virat Kohli - 291

MS Dhoni - 264

AB de Villiers - 251

Meanwhile, IPL 2026 is set to get underway on March 28, with defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru facing off against SRH on March 28 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Notably, RCB last year won their maiden IPL title after enduring a journey of near misses since the inaugural edition of the league in 2008.
