Jurel, Deshpande and Bishnoi shine as RR stun GT in thrilling upset

Rajasthan Royals pulled off a nervy six-run victory against Gujarat Titans on Saturday in Ahmedabad. Rajasthan Royals had posted a formidable total of 210/6 after deciding to bat. Dhruv Jurel led the charge with an impressive 75 off 42 deliveries, playing a crucial role in accelerating the innings during the middle overs.
The Royals’ innings got off to a flying start thanks to the opening pair of Yashasvi Jaiswal and young sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. The duo dominated the powerplay, racing to 69 without loss. Jaiswal was particularly impressive, notching up a half-century, scoring 55 runs.
Meanwhile, chasing a massive target of 211, Gujarat Titans had a flying start, with Sai Sudharsan crafting a superb 73 off 44 balls. However, once Sudharsan departed, the chase lost direction as wickets began to fall at crucial intervals. Lower in the order, Rashid Khan and Kagiso Rabada tried their best to take the side to victory, providing a late surge with some big hits. However, Gujarat Titans finished at 204/8 in 20 overs. The match went down to the final over, with Tushar Deshpande bowling a successful final over and defending 11 runs. He only conceded 4 runs.
