Mumbai Indians are set to face Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Match 20 of the 2026 season at the iconic Wankhede Stadium on Sunday in what is set to be one of the most celebrated rivalries in the IPL. The defending champions, RCB, started their campaign in commanding fashion with two convincing victories. However, their rhythm was disrupted during their away match against RR. MI, on the other hand, have struggled to find consistency, managing only one win so far and suffering consecutive defeats that have halted their momentum.

For RCB, their strength lies in their star-studded batting lineup. Skipper Rajat Patidar, ever-reliable Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal will be crucial in anchoring the batting. Their bowling attack has also received a significant boost with the return of Josh Hazlewood. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Suyash Sharma have been effective. Mumbai Indians, meanwhile, are still searching for the right combination.

Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickelton have been their standout performers with the bat. Suryakumar Yadav has performed, but consistency remains elusive. The middle order, featuring Tilak Varma and Sherfane Rutherford, is yet to deliver a defining performance this season. In the bowling department, Shardul Thakur and Deepak Chahar are yet to hit top form. However, Jasprit Bumrah remains their biggest weapon.
