GT bring down LSG with all-round performance

Gujarat Titans, delivering an all-round performance, secured a comprehensive seven-wicket victory over Lucknow Super Giants in Lucknow on Sunday. After winning the toss and deciding to bowl, Gujarat Titans' bowlers maintained tight lines, preventing Lucknow’s batters from gaining momentum. Prasidh Krishna led the attack with an impressive spell, taking four wickets. His efforts played a key role in restricting Lucknow Super Giants to 164/8 in 20 overs.
Lucknow struggled to build substantial partnerships throughout their innings. Aiden Markram emerged as the top scorer with 30 runs. Several of their key players got starts but failed to convert them into impactful contributions. Rishabh Pant scored 18; Nicholas Pooran added 19, while Abdul Samad and Mukul Choudhary also chipped in with 18 each.
Chasing 165, Gujarat Titans had a powerful start. Shubman Gill played a composed innings, scoring 56 runs. At the other end, Jos Buttler matched him stride for stride, blazing a powerful knock of 60 runs. Down the order, Washington Sundar helped with 21 runs unbeaten to take the side to victory in 18.4 overs.
