CPL 2026 to begin on August 7

The schedule for the 14th edition of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) has been announced, with the tournament scheduled to begin on August 7. Matches will be played across multiple Caribbean nations, including Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, Guyana, Saint Lucia, St Kitts & Nevis, Trinidad & Tobago and Jamaica. Notably, for the first time, matches will be played at Arnos Vale in St Vincent and the Grenadines. 

Three matches will be held at Arnos Vale, with the opening match featuring Jamaica Kingsmen against Antigua and Barbuda Falcons on August 7, followed by St Kitts and Nevis Patriots taking on Trinbago Knight Riders on August 8. And Antigua and Barbuda Falcons will face St Lucia Kings on August 9.

"Expanding into new territories is an important part of our vision, and Arnos Vale is a fantastic venue with a proud cricketing history. We know the fans in St Vincent & The Grenadines are passionate about the game, and we can’t wait to experience the energy and atmosphere they will bring," CEO of CPL Pete Russell said. 

The CPL 2026, which will run until September 20, will feature seven teams, including the newly introduced Jamaica Kingsmen. Trinbago Knight Riders will head into the tournament as the defending champions.
