RCB batter Phil Salt flies back to UK for scans

Royal Challengers Bengaluru batter Phil Salt, according to ESPNcricinfo, has headed back to the UK for scans on the finger injury that put him out of RCB's last three matches. Now, with Salt on the sidelines, Jacob Bethell will open the innings for RCB in the ongoing season of IPL.
RCB, however, have not officially disclosed the details of Salt's injury, but according to the report, he picked up an injury on his left-hand finger while diving to stop a boundary near the deep backward square leg boundary during the team's home match against Delhi Capitals on April 18.
He kicked off the season on a rollicking note, firing 202 runs in six innings at a strike rate of 168.33. However, there is still optimism running high within the camp that Salt will recover soon and will fly back to India later this month. Talking about RCB's campaign, they have been riding a wave of confidence with six wins in nine games. They are positioned second in the points table with three defeats and 12 points.
