Dazzling Samson helps CSK decimate DC

Riding on a commanding performance from Sanju Samson, Chennai Super Kings secured a convincing eight-wicket win over Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Tuesday. Chasing a target of 156, CSK were helped by Sanju Samson, who played a masterful innings of 87* to dictate the tempo from start to finish. Opening the innings, Samson looked utterly composed, playing a brilliant innings.

Even as CSK lost Ruturaj Gaikwad and Urvil Patel early, there was no sense of panic, with Samson anchoring the innings with maturity. At the other end, Kartik Sharma played a valuable role, scoring an unbeaten 41 as the duo calmly guided CSK to victory with 15 balls to spare. 

Earlier, Delhi Capitals had a shaky outing with the bat after captain Axar Patel decided to bat after winning the toss. The decision backfired as the team suffered a dramatic middle-order collapse, slipping to 69/5. However, Sameer Rizvi and Tristan Stubbs stepped up at a crucial moment. Rizvi remained unbeaten on 40, while Stubbs contributed 38 runs. They stitched a crucial 65-run partnership to lift Delhi to a competitive total of 155/7 in 20 overs.
