Inconsistent Rajasthan's playoff hopes on line

The action is shifting back to Jaipur one final time this season as Rajasthan Royals gear up for a crucial clash against Lucknow Super Giants on Tuesday. The match is highly valuable for Rajasthan, with the playoffs drawing closer. Meanwhile, despite having one of the strongest squads in the tournament, RR are yet to register a single victory at their home ground this season. They have played three matches in Jaipur, and all three of them have resulted in crushing defeats.

As of now, for Rajasthan, the equation is simple but stiff. The recent result between Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad has reshaped the playoff scenario. Their victory confirmed playoff qualification for themselves and Gujarat Titans, alongside Royal Challengers Bengaluru. More importantly for Rajasthan, their fate remains in their own hands. They no longer need to depend on net run-rate scenarios or other results. Two wins from their remaining two matches will guarantee them a playoff spot. Heading into this game, they will look to make the most of the opportunity to book a place in the playoff.

Lucknow Super Giants, on the other hand, are walking a different path. Their campaign may not have unfolded the way they had hoped, but they are well capable of influencing the fate of other teams. They don't have any pressure, which will embolden them to play freely and disrupt RR's playoff ambitions. For the Super Giants, this match is about pride and ending the season on a strong note.
