RR claim stunning win over LSG, keep playoff dreams alive

Rajasthan Royals, overhauling their most memorable run chases of the season, romped to a seven-wicket victory over Lucknow Super Giants in a high-scoring battle on Tuesday in Jaipur, with teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi blasting a breathtaking innings of 93 off 38. Chasing a colossal target of 221, Rajasthan got off to a good start. Young star Vaibhav Sooryavanshi stole the show with a sensational 93, narrowly missing out on what would have been a glorious century.
However, his innings played a massive role in shifting the momentum in Rajasthan’s favour. Yashasvi Jaiswal provided the perfect support with a rapid 43. The duo attacked relentlessly, decimating LSG's bowling attack. Even after the openers departed, Rajasthan remained completely flawless. Dhruv Jurel played a match-winning knock of 53*, finishing the chase in 19.1 overs and guiding RR to a famous victory.
Earlier, Lucknow Super Giants had posted a challenging total following a spectacular innings from Mitchell Marsh. The Australian all-rounder smashed a brutal 96 off 57 deliveries, narrowly missing a century of his own. He got support from Josh Inglis, who hammered 60 off 29 balls.
The pair stitched together a blazing 109-run partnership off 50 deliveries. In the death overs, Marsh continued the assault alongside Lucknow captain Rishabh Pant, who contributed a quickfire 35 runs. Their partnership helped Lucknow put up a formidable total of 220/5 in 20 overs.
